Other than the fact that the seller:

a) Is a lying bastard,
b) Knows nothing of what he sells,
c) Took a class in hyperbole,
d) the page is seriously screwed up,

This is what I sent him:

Are you aware that the Corvette you are sell is NOT a ZR1? It is an LT1. The engine is a 5.7l (350 ci) Small Block Chevy and not a 32 valve LT5? It is a push rod motor.

All Corvette's since 1968 are Targa topped, unless they are convertables. And yes, 1968 are considered Targa's, too. Hence the name "T-Top", the "T" stands for Targa.

Those wheels are NOT ZR1 wheels, but standard wheels from a 2000 Corvette. A set can be had for about 1200.00.

The car does look good, but the ad copy is on the edge of being fraudulent.

Nice work Bogus, did you notice the bumper emblem too?

Missed this tidbit: "And the sound of the Corvettes 320 hp"

Oh, and this winner: "The paint is glossy with no rust!. and hardly any blemishes"

" NO SCRATCHES, JUST LAYERS AND LAYERS OF WAX....."

but remove the wax, and its probably a different color....lol

I like how they sprayed silicon tire shine all over the tire treads...OMG

The 32V OHC EMGINE, WITH 320 HP....OMG...lol, Its no ZR1, But the ZR1 had more HP than that!

I love the ZR1 badg o nthe bumper, and the Base Corvette Vin #

The ZR1....errr Y2K Vette wheels look nice though.

And thats a wonderful pic of the bottom of the gas filler door....

im surprised he didnt try and pass it off as a Special edition with its Silver Emblems...lol

And please note: you may have to replace the radio *****, tape player, and antennae (but it's in mint condition).

Hey Guys

Here is another one that everyone missed in the add.
This Corvette Needs Nothing! No Dings! No Scrathes! .....................and hardly any blemishes. The interior is in excellent condition. The leather seats show little wear...and the carpet is Like new, clean and fresh. But, with any used vehicle minor wear may appear under close scrutiny. This might include small sand or rock chips.

If he wasn't so dang serious it would actually be a very funny ad.

Who ArmorAlls the TIRES!!! Musta been a fun ride after the photo shoot!

But wait! Theres more!

First its a 32V and then the specs list 16V?

And it's C-L-E-A-N !! Ever see such detail in the mini-trunk?

"You may spend anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 on making small repairs or replacing minor missing parts" then..... "You can not find another Corvette as nice as this one any where! This Corvette Needs Nothing!"

"...as nice as this one any where!"
"...no scrathes!"
"...acceptional and rare find!"

Ugh! Aside from the obvious ZR-1 fake stuff, his grammar and spelling has given me a headache. I do, however, like the look of that car.

On the positive side, I've always liked white, it just looks so clean, but I could be a bit biased. Also, he has good pics and plenty of them.

On the negative. He ruins what looks like a decent ride by false representation on soooo many levels. With all the lies how could the buyer be even slightly sure a Corvette, or anything at all would arrive??

The sad thing is, someone will be duped by this guy. There's already 2 bids. His reserve is probably 30 grand.

HAHAHA! Hey Bogus! Go look now. He has revised his listing at bottom and says "I have received an obnoxious e-mail from an over zealous corvette enthusiast"..hehe, that must be you bogus! What a douche seller!

Should have started "This is no s***" or "Once upon a time", otherwise it was a good fantasy read!

this explains it all: "In fact I submitted numerous pictures from all angels" (and gabriel helped with the text)

it is a decent car that could be put back to normal easily, and can likely be bought for a fair price.
the guy should just learn about the classes of people that match classes of cars when hes writing ads.
that stand on a soapbox and bark out a big line of "its the greatest" just isnt the proper aproach to use on corvette people.
especially when you are just making most of it up.
that wouldnt work selling a bmw or mercedes either.maybe if your were selling a civic with the worlds largest fart pipe and 747 left wing for a spoiler.
you cant help but think of the stereotypical used car salesman from hee-haw days.who was that? junior samples?
