car show
went to a small local car show today. I decided to do a little expirament; as the show got going I left the hood down, people just meandered by looking for a "top speed" on the speedo *teehee, silly people*. Then I decided to pop it... those same people came back and spent twice as long. My wife and I spent a couple of hours with an engine cleaner the day before and it cleaned up nicely. My dad and I had the only vettes there (80 L-82 and my 87 vert). It was a really small show (40-50 cars) and it was just a show-n-shine (show)
we might take it to the sea cruise in crescent city, ca but I must say that the car is no where near show quality, but it's still fun to share.
I do enjoy the local shows. There are 4 other Vettes that I usually see there. The best is when I tell viewers that the car is a 92, they think it is new. C4s still got it!

Very few casual observers of cars know the years of Corvettes.
I like shows also, but only for the viewers, the judges can keep their opinions, I'm not interested.
I do like the all Corvette shows more, but there are not as many around here. I was ready for a show that did not make so I went to a one here in town promoting the opening of 2Fast2Furious. The lot was full of rice with big wings and tail pipes. The best of show it took there is my favorite prize!
i show my car every weekend here in pa. we have some very nice size shows here 200+ cars w/many classes between 30-40. i usually go in the mod vette class which is open to all years so i am runnin against mid years, rays and c5's and i love talkin to the spectators and other participants and we judge the other classes no fixed judges other then the sponsors for best of show awards
I've had my cars in 100's of shows. I have learned most contestant judged shows are never as fair as a points type show. I win many more points type shows than I do at contestant shows. I see cars win at those shows that don't even open the doors or hood.
