Yesterday I was curious so I looked at the Forum in C-5. They seem to have the same problems as us but they take their vettes to the dealer
instead of turning a wrench. I realize that many are still under warranty but the C-5 Forum seems to be much less technical with very little machanical ability. Just a quick observation.

I think you are right. However, I only do routine stuff on mine like oil changes, plugs, radiator cleaning etc.. Anything complicated and I take it to the pros because I'm not much of a mechanic like alot of the members here are. I wish I had their know how but I'm pretty inept except for the simple things.

I wonder if it has anything to do with income. C5 owners, as well as C1&2 owners, generally, IMHO, have more funds available for such things. C3 guys as a group are usually broke so we have to work on our own cars.

That said, I'll probably be doing all the work on the '92 when we get it unless it's engine management related. I'm not an electrical guru by any stretch of the imagination.

Whats wrong with that ? Some people are just not mechanicaly inclined..I myself sometimes just take it to the pro's for silly shat just because I have other important things to do .
