Borla's....rear section or cat back?
I plan on getting a exhaust upgrade done to my 93 before too long. MidAmerica sells a Borla rear section kit (basically just the mufflers and the tips) for less than $450. Have to go with the Borla's, their rectangular polished stainless steel tips fit perfectly under the bottom bumper cut outs.....My question is this....
Is there REALLY a performance difference from going from the whole cat back system to just the rear section? From what I can tell the stock Corvette exhaust has mandrel bends and not OE crinckle bends disturb air flow (I could be wrong). I don't plan on going bigger than the stock 2.5" pipes. Thanx all!

I have Borla's with those tips, and I agree thet they are good looking tips.
As far as performance, I changed the entire exhaust, with cat, & the 2 1/2 rear pipe. There was a difference in performance but I don't know how much.

sharp looking tips. I had those on my Z28 before. I'm looking to get the stock looking Borla full rectangular tips. How is the resonance inside. Resonance is not an issue, as it is not a daily driver, just wondering.
Naw, Borla's got 2 style tips for the LT-1 C'4. The one's I'm talking about are long and rectangular, like the stock setup but they come out more from under the bumper. They do not have the intercooled tips like you have. I'm modifying the whole top end of the car, so resonance isn't a concern. I figure, what's the use in getting the whole cat back, if the rear section exhaust pretty much does the same thing?
