Read the third post from the top...i think this is the common view on "new" corvettes. they view it as "just another car." i bought this car because ever since i was little, seeing a vette on the road brought a smile to my face. now, everytime i drive it, it puts me in a good mood. this has been my dream car for as long as i can remember, i think for them, it's just a fad or mid-life crisis.

Some folks just don't get it. If it comes too easy, I guess it's human nature to not appreciate it as much. Tonight a friend stopped by the garage while I was polishing a D44 housing that's going in my car. He joked and asked if I was going to start putting mirrors under my car. I just said no but I'll see it every time I'm under there. It's a labor of love and I enjoy every minute of it.
I see what you mean. (LOL) My vette is my Baby. I would not let any service dept touch her(LOL)
Yes, but I might be a swinger and want a 2 on 1 with me, my baby and the service guy.
Sometimes doing it yourself is not possible because I don't want to buy a tool and use it once and never use it again so I read up my procedure book (GM Service manual) and take it to a shop I know and let them work on it. HOWEVER, I have to be present when they work on it and I watch.
