OK... I just got back from a nice 600+ mile run and while driving to work today I noticed the speedometer is blinking (lite/dark lite/dark).. I set the guages to the volts and it's bouncing between 13 and 16 up and down. It never settles on one number..
Is this normal? I don't remember seeing it do tis before, but I never realley keep the guage set there either.
I suspect the voltage regulator inside the alternator is bad.
The normal reading should range from 13 to 14.5volts.
If you're getting 16v or higher readings, eventually you'll overvoltage charge the battery and cook the battery itself. (I've had this problem before, where I was getting a 24v output to the battery. The battery lasted about 1 hour)

Thanks everyone.. I will make an appointment at my dealer and have him check the alternator and regulator.. Thank god I have a warrenty on this stuff..
Ntohing against your dealer, but take it to O'Reilly, AutoZone, or somewhere similar. They will check it for free, then, if you prefer, you can take it to dealer for repair. Too many horror stories on this forum (including mine) to ever trust a dealer completely. Even if it's under warranty, you'll go in with some information for them.
