rice rice rice. as in "aftermarket parts added to a vehicle that subtract from the overall performance of the vehicle yet demand the attention of the uneducated consumer"
we have a bunch of rice around here,im sure they would laugh at a vette trying to fit in if you pulled in to the lot where they hang out.
they be like "hey your wing fell off".
with that tire profile you know you could run over a quarter and tell if it was heads or tails.
i dont see any flames.looks more like a triple mcdonalds ad done in black and white to me.

This thread lists many different opinons of MY car. I have no problems with someone stating they like or dislike the paint or like or dislike the wheels there are many people on this Forum with various backgrounds so opinons should vary just like anything else related to culture. Keeping in mind that this is a Custom Vette Built For Me so It doesn't really matter what anyone thinks and I'm sure my Vette will continue to draw as much positive praise any time its in the public's view as it always does long after this thread is long gone and forgotten about, But when you stoop so low as to call something Ghetto to me you are just showing your ignorance and undeserved arrogance. In most cases people who call things Ghetto are usually too affraid to ever leave their little area of false security to ever see or enjoy anyone else's culture and definitely wouldn't go into any low income area that they would assume to be Ghetto but in your case I believe its different being you live in Portsmouth VA I don't recall seeing too many Country Clubs there so you are probably one who is trapped living somewhere where you hate and are affraid of your surroundings, scared to go out at night and never stops at stop signs out of fear of getting your Vette jacked. I on the otherhand can travel with ease from any neighborhood to the 19th Hole without any worries. So if my wheels appear to be Too Ghetto for you great because I would probably appear to be too Ghetto for you to handle. So the next time you want to classify something or someone as Ghetto remember That in this modern day those so-called "Ghetto" people or "Thugs" are making the same or more money than you, are dressing as well or better than you, are working the same jobs as you, are driving the same cars as you, are voting on the same candidates as you, are sitting on the same committees as you, and are living in the same neighborhoods as you except in your case I wouldn't want to live in Portsmouth ITS WAY TOO GHETTO FOR ME. So if we ever cross paths I'm sure you will be the one crossing the street to walk on the opposite side as we pass. With that go double check your dead bolts and have a nice night.

ah its all good zell, after all your topic was "what do you think?"
pics never do a car justice.especially a custom. i think mainly due to the fact that in stock trim we all know what it looks like and can relate.
your paint is so reflective its hard to really get a good look at it through a lens.and the whole package likely looks a lot different in person.facts is tho you just put up a pic and asked for opinions.probly not knowing that within the crowd of opinions here theres a huge % of vette owners that just hate to see a car in non-oem trim.
looks like your showing the car in the pic,and drawing a crowd so have fun with it.
whats under the hood?

Wow! How did I miss this thread for so long!?!

If ya care to hear another opinion, I love the chamelion paint job. I am not a Mustang fan as most vette owners are not. The first time I saw a similar paint job was on a custom Mustang Cobra back in about 97 I think. It took my breath away. The car was green from one angle, purple from another. It faded so subtly, that you couldnt really pinpoint when it changed.

As far as Zells car goes, I reallly really like the paint but dont care for the flames. If I did flames, they would be subtle ghost flames on the hood and front fenders. As far as the wheels go, I dont care for them. Thats my personal opinion. I remember when I first put Z06 style wheels on my car, some folks accused me of being a Z06 wannabe.

My opinion in this particular car is just my own opinion. If Zells if happy with his car, more power to him. I would not come to your house or go on a public forum and disrespect your wife or girlfriend or in this case another mans Vette.

Just my humble opinion.

i believe what he referred to was " ugly' or "not nice" or 'EWW' those are other meanings of the word 'ghetto' that i hear from my friends. up here in mississauga we could care less what it is like in a ghetto... we just use the word cuz its creeped into our vocab. since i did read your last post i realize that its your car and just wanted to say why i dont like the car.... I love performance machines.. ie.. an enzo ferarri etc. i prefer a corvette thats modified... but with looks and performance in mind. those wheels have the style of the 28"s they now offer for hummmers. theyre not something you'll see on a lingenfelter machine competing in the next "one lap'. the paintjob is just... " look at me"... you would never see something like that onany ferarri or lamborghini cuz the car has enough style to begin with. personally i think my 93 has enough style the way it comes so thats why i dont like urs. your car also needs lowering. most people dont understand that you can have 20s on a car and slam it and its STILL not low to the ground. that's because the overall diamter of the entire tire is much larger than stock..

i dont mean to hate.. but if 'show' is your thing then your car will be appreciated by those who like show cars and something 'different'. it is a nice paintjob tho...

Thanks Longhorn, I remember the controversy of adding Z06 rims before now they are popular also remember the hash or not to hash posts its funny it seems like the newer members jump on what ever bandwagon they think will be approved by the Forum I like what I like regardless of what anyone else likes or dislikes or choses to post what will people say when they see their first C4 with 20" Z06 rims they make them now or will their heads explode when they see their first C5 with Lambo doors? Funny thing about the flames the two cameleon colors have a few mutual shades where the flames blend in all you can see is the subtle shadowing and then from another angle they are a bold blue and green I will have to post some other pictures so you can see what I mean. I agree with you I see alot of things on other peoples Vettes that are not my style but why post negative posts I just move on I like looking at different peoples ideas and customizations just I usually only choose to comment on what I like just my style I guess.

Thanks Mitymek, for your comments true it does look alot different in person it is very hard to photograph because of the nature of the paint but while we are stating facts I did not post photos and ask anyones opinion Mr.Magoo posted the photos and started this thread not even knowing it belonged to a forum member which I am very happy he did. I simply stumbled onto it one night after overlooking it for several days since then I have been following it just to read what people have to say actually I am surprized by how many replies and looks this thread has gotten you are right my Vette has been in a total of four shows in the past 45 days or so since its been painted and normally gathers a crowd and does well in the judging she has brought home 3 victories two first places and one third I cherish the third place trophy the most being that it was in a class with 12 Vettes of all years including C5's and was beaten by a 1st place 62 full Resto, and a 2nd place 63 full Resto besides I have never heard anything negative by those that have seen it in person the only negativity it has received has been on this forum and I expected that if any of you are long term active members you will recall the long threads I started in which we all conversed about feeling on custom Vettes they are still in the archives so to each his own I will worry about what people think when they start to offer sponserships and hard cash untill then my Vette will remain the way I want it lol.
