Default Hood Release Handle

The hood release handle is not functioning on my '91 ZR-1. It had worked OK until I used it Sunday. It looks and feels like it is unhooked at the top of the handle under the dash. Has this happened to anyone else and any suggestion on how to fix it or how to get to it under the dash?
The cables are still hooked to the handle but the handle is "dangling". It looks like whatever holds the handle in place is either broken or out of position.

Yep, happened to me about a year and a half ago. It's pretty easy to diognose once you've head your head under there. Not sure about the ZR1's, but I had to remove the plastic panel underneath(6 screws at best) dash to get a good look at everything

Yes, the roller pin that holds the release lever into the housing has slipped out. When this happened on my 88 coupe, I used a long thin bolt and nut to keep it in place.
