I've been trying with no luck to get a fix in audio so I figured someone here might be able to help I changed radio's and have that awful SYS light flash now I remember seeing afix for this but can't find it can anyone tell me how top get rid of it.
Not sure about the radio change thing but the SYS light is an indication of a problem of a number of systems controlled by the CCM. You may have codes stored that need to be checked just in case it's not radio related. Pull the codes and address them if any, then try unhooking the neg post of battery for 15 seconds to reset things.
You will need to do a search. I think it is 93 and older you need to put a resistor across 2 pins in the radio harness to fool the computer into thinking the radio is there. I don't remember the details?
I will have to check for codes on my 95 it has an OBDII connector but the same ODBI computer is there a way to jumper that out or do I need a scanner? I have been trying to find that resistor thing for awhile I remember seeing it but at the time I didn't need it go figure right Thanks for the reply's

yeah you can jump it with a paper clip, i for got what two to jump though, someone will probably chime in with the website that explains it. After you jump it you will see the codes displayed on your dash. I have a 94 and the sys light flashes, it was also caused by the radio change. I still havent fixed it, i just got used to it flashing. Otherwise head to autozone and they will pull the codes for free.
I found the the archive related to the resistor and installed it today unluckily my car is making a ticking from flexplate inspection area I'm thinking either a cracked flexplate, bad starter, tranny pump or if I'm lucky just a loose flexplate bolt so I can't run it long enough to tell if it fixed it radio shack had the resistors on sale 5 for 59 cents I will post the results as soon as I fix the other problem gotta get it on a lift tomarrow Thanks for all who chimed in.
