How do I remove sunvisors on 93vert?
My sunvisors are really cutting back on the enjoyment of my car. The mirrors in them rattle so much, I cant take it.
Id just prefer removing them,.
How do I do this? I unlatched the covertible top and saw a nut that I removed, however there is a spacer that the pivot bolt for the sunvisor arm goes thru.
How do I remove these things?
Any help would be appreciated!

I imagine it is the same as on my coupe.
Once you take the 2 screws off the plastic trim plate you will see a nut.
Sounds like you found this and removed it.
There is a large stamped metal nut kinda thing you need to take off next.
I used a pair of needle nose plyers to get in there and turn it off, it might help to pull a little while turning it.
Now you should see the tension spring.
From here just push the visor shaft thru the hole.
Once you take the 2 screws off the plastic trim plate you will see a nut.

On my '88 there is a split washer under the nut that slips over the shaft and holds it in place so you can install the nut.
I had to spread the prongs of that washer till it would slip up off the shaft. Then I could drop the visor and unplug the mirroe light harness.
If the mirror cover is rattling against the mirror frame just apply a little tape or maybe a drop of RTV to the underside of the cover to keep it off the frame. If it's the light lense rattling you may be able to remove the lense and put a drop of RTV behind it.
