is the zz4 engine different than the l98? or special? or what's the deal with that?
pretty much the same. Dyno numbers were low. Speed shop said the engine was too good for the L98 intake and exhaust. Don't have the $$ to make any mods right now. They suggested to start with headers, which in CA I'm finding very difficult to find legal ones.

so are those original miles? I hear that shorty's are legal here in ca.
As of now I'm looking to go true dual with long tube headers (some day) since I'm in an area where smog only applies on transfer (except legislation could change any time).

I've got a friend who has a '94 with about 250K on it. But until further notice, I guess you're the king! My '95 will be rolling over 100K real soon and she's just getting warmed up!
I sold an `86 earlier this year with 299k miles. It still had the original engine and ran great. Now the paint and interior are a different story...
Now that should be a topic all by itself. How much did you get for it? With all the C4s for sale at pretty fair prices, I figure I wouldn't get much for it.
