Default '92 Security System Question

I see where my "new" '92 has a security system, but I'm not sure exactlty what it's comprised of. I know the ignition key has the resistor in it, and the car has a built in alarm. My question is regarding keyless entry. I checked all the production numbers that I could, and I don't see anything about it, but I'm thinking that possibly it was standard equipment.

Should I have gotten a key fob with my car for keyless entry? Or did these cars not come with that kind of thing? The previous owner didn't give me onw when we bought the car.

Cheers!

Ya know this is a mystery to me also...in your DIC you will see the light for the keyless entry....you have ot shine a flashlight on it.BUT everyone and there brother says they ONLY come on 93 and up models.. BUT on the other hand and keyless entry that flashes lights and beeps horn and does locks with windows is usually only $100 installed.......you're gonna pay that much for 2(two) if not 1(one) of the PKE keyless remotes.....

Passive Keyless Entry -PKE- did not become available on the Corvettes until the `93 model year. However it was in the planning stages, so when the instrument panel was redesigned for 1990, a PKE section/light was made in the DIC area but not functional for 1990-92.

The factory alarm consists of the horn and parking lights.
IE - if you leave the windows down and lock the car anyway, the system is armed. So if someone reaches in and unlocks and opens the door, the alarm will sound.
You turn it off by turning the key in the drivers door outside lock.
