Keyless entry/ remote start?

I had an after market alarm installed-Avital-2200 on my 87, remote doors, hatch and a ton of options (windows, start etc.) it still keeps some of the OEM features (starter interupt etc.) I love it! about $250 installed at Best Buy.

I'd like to see how they did the windows... wonder if the system just sends power for a given period of time?I wired mine up custom.. so I can turn the stereo on and off from the keyless. It also leaves the stereo on until I lock the doors. Figuring out the wiring was a lot of work, but it works perfectly.
I bought GM's VKE-1000 which is just a keyless system, and it leaves all the factory alarm functions intact.Get the GM electrical manual for your year before thinking about installing it or paying someone else...
