I am new to the forum and just wanted to let everyone know that it has already been a great help to me. I recently purchased a 97 vert with 80,000 miles. So far I have fixed my cruise control with a $2.00 vacuum line (with the help from a forum member), purchased a Haynes manual, and replaced my Bose Stereo.
The only thing left to do for now is to get rid of the damn code 32 service light. I have looked of previous posts and understand that it is an EGR error. I was just curious to hear from other people that have repaired this problem. Was it the EGR valve, the EGR Solenoid, or the EGR Temperature switch? I am not looking forward to removing the plenum. Thanks again for all the help
My 87 was the switch, check that first -- and noticed your ATA logo, I'm ATA also - 2nd Brown
Keep up your training. Congrats on 2nd Brown. It looks like your getting close to your BBC goal. I got my first degree black belt in 97, third degree since 2002. ATA training is a great stress relief when the service engine soon light comes on from code 32.
Looking in my Haynes manual it mentions the ERG temp switch but does not say where its located. Can anyone let me know where the switch is located and can it be replaced without removing the plenum? The thought of removing the plenum causes more stress. lol
