CP5150

Hi. Got a '96 LT4. Did a search here regarding a tranny problem, grinding 1st to 2nd at high rpm only, and when shifting "quickly". Seems it might be a worn synchro. I have a Wynn's extended care warranty, the best full coverage one. Will the warranty cover this tranny repair? Or is it like brake pads, considered normal wear and your on your own? Thanks for any help.

oh, no. I would think this is exceptional wear.

how many miles? if you have like 100k, you are screwed, but if it's like 50k, then go for it.

Oh, and if you have a choice, www.zfdoc.com is the man for these trannys!!! Expensive, but if someone else is buying.

They are the US suplier for ZF parts. They know there stuff about ZF's.

Just hit 58,000mi yesterday. I figured if "I" had a warranty, something would go wrong that wasn't covered. Figures...
