as for me - off unless its kinda wet outside
unless your on your toes at all times just keep it in the default "on" position.
if your powering through an intersection and making a 90 deg turn and hit some loose gravel you will be glad you have it on.
i dont notice it since i got new tires as much but when i had the stock old hard tires on it saved my bacon more than once.these cars can be a handful to straighten out since they can lay some serious g forces on you.easy to over correct in a slide and they get to snappin you around like a rag doll.
if you turn it off it will be back on the next time you start your car.
i call it the burn out button.notice the rubber mark emblem on the switch.its easy enough to reach up and tap on the button when i want to break things loose.
you guys that turn it off always do you also disconnect the airbag?
actually, maybe theres areas where people live that "always" have perfect road conditions, but i certainly dont see that here.
go try it out.just stop somewhere and stomp on the gas.you'll feel it work.
then try it again with the button pushed in (asr off light should come on),you'll see what the "fun" post was about
Even backing out of my driveway to go a few blocks.
I once almost got run over by a truck when it kicked in. It was a tight right hand turn onto another road, strewn with gravel. I hit the throttle and it kicked in, then a truck came around a corner barrelling down on me. I had to hit second gear quick to get out of there (that turned off the ASR temporarily).

NOTE: ASR is not Active Handling, in that it won't keep your car straight or on the road. It keeps the rear tires from spinning, that's all. For that reason, it will hurt you when you are attempting maximum acceleration (which occurs with just a little tire slip)
