Default Front bumber adjustment....HELP! :)

I've got to adjust the front bumper (or maybe the cover) on my 85. The previous owner must have bumped something and kinda pushed it up into the hood, closing the gap between the bumper and the hood. Now, I don't think its the hood that's out of adjustment, because it aligns perfectly with the doors and the latches. (And the doors align with the rear fenders.) The problem is that I cannot see where the bumper makes all of it's attachments for adjustment. There is so much stuff in the way it's very frustrating. I've looked at parts schematics and spent a whole morning trying to figure this out but for the life of me I'm stumped. Any suggestions on how to do this?

The main bumper attatchment and adjusting happens on the frame horns under the hood. You will see shim packs between frame and inner bumper. You will add shims to open up the gap. The are sold in different thicknesses to get desired effect.Be aware though, All bumper bolts will have to be loosened to get it to move. Must be 2 dozen smaller bolts that attatch bumper cover to inner fenders , spoiler etc. This will be a couple hr project but worth it.
