There is a hartop for bid on e-bay as we speak. It comes with the package shelf pad. It's in the color of white and at last glance, it's a buy. There is a source for the brackets, but they will not fit anything earlier than a '89. I can send you pictures of brackets that I fabricated to overcome that problem, if you're interested in going that way.
Glad to see you got the pix IBEAM. That was quick. Only sent them snailmail this week. I have many more pix of inside the plant, but must have them packed away somewhere. I will sent them your way if i find them.
The red vette in bottom pix was the ASC geneve corvette. It was introduced at the geneve switzerland auto show to show our design capabilities. That pix was taken at beech bend raceway at a display booth we set up for the show to promote the hardtop. Tha last time i saw that car, was about 5 years ago. It was in a company warehouse in detroit (downriver area) and had been sitting there for a couple of years then. Had a tarp over it. What a waste. The car was a "one off" with hand laid body panels. I tried to get them to donate it to the museum and write it off but i think it still sits there covered up.

Don,
I would be interested in those pics.
As fate would have it, I just won an eBay auction for a white hardtop
I bought my hardtop on Ebay in 2003 for about $750.00 and it was the correct color too. All it took was a 6hr round trip to pick it up. You could still buy the brackets & hardware from GM then. It made a huge difference regarding the structural strength, ride quality, etc. The only downside is with it installed, you cannot access the storage area behind the seats nearly as well and the folded soft top takes up storage space. If only these things had a real trunk!
