I was in such a state of shock on Friday that it took until Sunday to write about it. I know there are other threads about this but I must tell all of you even at the risk of being bashed.

There is a wonderful road near my house here in beautiful California called Harbor Blvd. It runs parallel to the beach just a hundred or so yards from it. It also runs for about 10 or 12 m iles and EVERYTIME I drive it I ALWAYS see other vettes and of course wave to all of them.

Getting to the story, I was out for a wonderful cruise about mid-day on Friday with the top off. I was about 4 miles from home when I looked up the road at the on coming traffic and saw what appeared to be a black Mitsubishi nose coming towards me with DRL's (Daytime Running Lights) and HID (High Intensity Displacement) lights. Well anyway I thought it was strange that the Ricer had DRL's but I figured he just turned them on to look . When this front end was about 100 feet in front of me I saw "Crossed Flags" on the nose and instantly flung my hand up through the open top and then looked at the driver.

The most amazing thing happened right then .... He stuck his hand out the driver's side window and waved. I was fully expecting to get snubbed but this wonderful owner made my day. I would bet all of you this is a previous C4 or C5 owner that traded up to a new C6.

This just proves to all of us the power of the wave.

I travel a lot, already seen half a dozen C6s on the road in several different states - ALL of them have waved.

 

first time I ran into a c6 in my vette, he waved, and first no less. Since then havn't seen anymore whilst behind the wheel.
