Default Another ebay funny.

Whats wrong with this item?? Heh heh
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33644

You know we all need a fender cover for when were leaning on our fenders working on our 89-96 Corvettes.
The seller states "This fender cover will protect for fenders from getting scratch while you work on your vehicle. Also makes a great gift!" (exact wording)

Its gonna be a bit tough to keep this on the fender while the clamshell is open. I just got a chuckle from it.

Could come in handy when you're working on the hatch area.

I sent that guy an email a couple years ago, his answer was,"well some Corvettes have fenders" I returned with, yeah, but '84-'96 don't. Never got a reply.

There was on error in the manufacturing of this item... it was supposed to say "Chevette"... because you know how valuable and rare those are and heaven for bid you scratch the fender of one of those!!!

I like the idea of buying it and giving negative feedback because it doesn't fit my car

Hey it might be for sitting on the car when you're not working on it..AND it's a private auction too so nobody knows that you are bidding on it... Maybe we could get a group purchase going on these things

I just emailed them:

Are you aware that 1984-1996 Corvette's do not have fenders?

When the hood is opened, the "fenders" go with it. It's called a "clamshell".

Perhaps it would help when accessing the hatch, but that's about it.

Yes, 1953-1982 Corvettes and 1997 to current all have fenders, but 1984-1996 (fourth generation) do NOT.

Have a nice day.

they sell those in catalogs like Corvette Central, Mid America, ZIP, etc. but they list them for 53-82 vettes. it might come in handy when working on my 81 and having to lean over those huge fenders...but now the 86, i'm usually sitting or have my feet on the tires while working on it, and i'm in no need for a foot mat to go on my tires
