Default Key/ignition Question

I have a '96. I bought car with only 1 set of keys. I had Chevy Dealer make a second set. The new ignition key was a little tight going in. Dealer said resistor was a little"wide" and as it would wear down it would work fine. Today I took the car out and could not pull key out of ignition. When I put car in park the I couldnt turn key back enough to pull out. It only needed to go about 1/8th of an inch more. Took car home and parked in my driveway and the key came out as if nothing happened. Is this a key or ignition problem. Is there an anjustment on the transmission, it looks like the car wasnt fully into park.

In my dad's 93, sometimes I have to jiggle the gear shifter (automatic) to get the button to pop up. Not sure why his does that, but it does prevent the key from coming out.

Yep, that is what mine does. Not a problem now that I know the solution

Thanks Ray
