I recieved a letter in the mail today on the insurance quote for the car. Grand total: a tick over $8,000 :eek and they didn't even include the cracked glass top!
That's for parts and labor, good grief. Good thing I know work for a Vette dealer and can get parts!

I'm up to $2500 already and I haven't even mentioned labor or paint.
If you can get a body shop to do that repair for 3K (with new parts) let me know, I know someone who needs their car repainted.

A bit of insurance advice. CHANGE COMPANIES RIGHT NOW. It sounds like these guys are going to try to screw you on the value of the car. If I were you I would change companies right now before the claim shows on my claim history (which companies hold against you whn trying to write a new policy). I wouldn't want to have to deal with this company if something were to happen again (God forbid). Just a little FYI. Good luck with everything.

They called today and told me how much they are going to give me. It dropped my jaw. Lets just say I'll be able to buy my car back, get it completely repaired, pay it off, and pay off my Blazer, and still have money left over. Things just got better.

Glad to hear it won't hurt you too badly.
