Now that the Vett is put up for the winter it`s time to change the headlamps. Would like some opinons on what others have used for better illumination at night. Am poundering over three choices. The lamps from.Hella, Silverstar or Truview.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be given and Merry Christmas to all forum members and their familes.

Just bought Sylvania Silverstars for my 91 Coupe. They really are worth the extra $$. I saw a posting here on the C4 forum and decided to get them because my vette (recently purchased) had 2 different headlights (classy I know) that were 2 very different colours. Typical Halogen headlights are like $10 a piece, while the Silverstars are about $30 (Canadian $$) but they are worth the extra coin. I put one in and flipped up the lights just to compare and the diofference was remarkable. Nice clear crisp white light.
I replaced the unitary headlamps with acrylic housings by Pilot,
and used Silverstars on my 96. The housings are lighter, reducing
load on the mechanisms, and the Silverstars (stock wattage)
provide far better illumination. Also replaced the fog lamps
with 50 watt bulbs. Much better lighting.

Deja' vu on this subject.
On my own car, I took out the plastic Wagners, put in one-piece SilverStars, took out SilverStars, put in Hella's with 80/100W H4 bulbs.
Ahhhhhhhhhh.....now that's nice.
I put Siverstars in based on the input from this forum in my 86, difference was dramatic (6054 sealed beam).
I also didn't like driving our GranMarquis at night so I put in 9007 Siverstars its an 01- what I did notice when changing out the 9007's was the lamps that came out had blackening(burning) forming on the inside of the bulb itself causing poor visibility(We could drive w/ HB on and no one flashed us). Big improvement!
If you have an Advanced Auto near you - they have a deal going until the 5th of Jan buy 1 get 1 half off and a $5 rebate up to 2 pairs of Silver Stars.
2. What is the life expectancy of SilverStar?
The life expectancy of a SilverStar halogen light source is dependent on the driver’s use of the lights, which vary by season, time of day and number of miles driven. We estimate the SilverStar halogen lights to have a life span of up to one year under average driving conditions.
