Do you feel disconnected from other generations of Corvettes?

I like all of the Vette generations. The one I like the best is the one in my garage. I don't have time to listen to people who gripe about one generation or the next. Bottom line....When I drive my Vette I enjoy it. I look back at it and it puts a smile on my face. After that nothing else really matters.

my barber owns an 86 that hadn't seen a cleaning in years. i finally prodded him into washing it and guess what happened??
HE TOOK IT THROUGH AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH!
that's why people hate on C4 vettes..... it's because people that don't care about the name "corvette" can fianally afford corvettes, and then they get one and they treat it like their old truck.

I don't feel disconnected nor do I give it much thought either. I drive my car, I wave at other vettes, and if they don't wave back I don't give it much thought. As a Harley "Fat Boy" owner, I realize that some times you just don't have the time to respond, or your focused on the road, etc. etc. I bouht the car for me, and the car meets my needs. Everybody else bought their car for whatever need they had.
Enjoy the car, live for the moment. Be glad you have the opportunity to possess one of the finest cars made in the history of automobiles.

What do you guys think?

I love all corvettes but the C4 to me is special because I own one. I do think though that unfortinuately there are more and more corvette "drivers" and less corvette fanatics.

There`s no such thing as a "bad" generation. They all say CORVETTE on the car, & as such, they are all "America`s sports car ", no matter what the year.

[QUOTE=rocco16]I must hang out with an exceptional group of Corvette people...they are 99% C5 guys and I have had not one person diss the C4, not in a serious way at least.
Me Too -
The problem is I have beat them all at the local track, so I get some respect. It is great to see their face when they cannot pull me. They are all modded to various degrees. The big dog lost last season with his C-5, cam, heads, intake, tuning and headers.

I've never had anything but positive feedback from other Vette owners.
...well, except for a C3 owner who commented sarcastically "So you actually like those C4's, huh?" when he saw my '95. Of course...at the time, he was installing a junkyard auto transmission from a Z28 into his '81...and was grinding a corner off of the case to try to make it fit in the tunnel! I figure that pretty much invalidates any opinion he may have anyway.
