Default NCM Memorial

I'm putting this just on C4 gen to see what the responses are. If it's positive we'll take it ALOT further.

Had an idea, thinking about the sad event of Mike (HOGS) leaving us, then on the forum this evening I see vetteseniorcit passed away suddenly.

We should get the NCM to create a memorial area for all of our corvette brothers (and sisters) that have left us for the big cruise in the sky. Bet we could raise the funds on the forum. All funds raised for this purpose would have to go 100% to the memorial, none of it to the new NCM addition. Once built adding a name wouldn't cost that much, actually that's an area that the NCM could make a few bucks IMHO. Maybe more appropriate than buying a brick for any of our deceased vetters. And here's the best part, it could be done like the Vietnam memorial, names on a wall. The wall leads into the burn out box! The NCM has talked about installing a burn out box to save the parking lot! Then instead of going to the memorial to be sad looking at the names we could do a nice burn out in their memory.

What do you guys think?

No I like your idea. I am unsure what a 'burn out box' is though. Could you explain it to me?

I'm on board for it. I was there last week and noticed a few bricks that were engraved with "In loving memory of.....". The NCM may tell us that this is the appropriate way to go.

I think that would be great way to honor those who have fallen... and the burnout box idea... is that symbolic for "a run through the clouds (of smoke)" or am I reading too far into this?

Good idea...however buying a brick for that person is a cool idea also. Its been done in the past and I think its kind of the norm

I think that's a great idea.
If the logistics could be worked out and the NCM goes for it. I'll bring down my old rims and tires and burn them until they explode in the memory of my fallen freinds.
