Vent rattle
On my '96 Vette, the passenger side vent rattles and drives my wife nuts. Anybody have a good method for silencing it???
BTW, this is the small "insert" vent, which sits between two vent controls for larger vents on either side. It looks like it pops out, but I don't want to break the plastic trying (without knowing how it attaches).
Suggestions??

I believe the center one is the inside temp sensor for the ac. In past year models the whole assembly was held it with two phillips screws recess in the vent vanes. But I'm not completely certain with the later models. Use a flashlight and see if you can locate the screws. It might be the sensor loose or its electrical connection is loose there and making the rattle.

To access the 2 screws holding the vent remove the small louvered section in the center by prying up on the bottom very gently. Take the 2 screws out & the vent shud come out as a unit. It's very fragile so be careful. When I did mine, as the result of a rattle, I found a couple of screws loose.
