Default Photoshop Request!!!!

Hey, I don't know if this is enough info. but could someone photoshop these two wheel options on to the picture of my car from "My Corvette Photos"? The wheels are 9.5" reproduction ZR-1's d=from OE Distributors. I am just trying to decide between painted and polished finished. I am leaning towards polished, but I just can't decide, and so I thought maybe a photoshop image of each might help. Thanks !!!!!

Hmm...I have the polished on my car from O.E. and love'em, looking at your car I think the painted would look better, but either would look good, good luck with your choice !

Ya, it's funny, it seems that the finish (polished or painted) seem to have a very different look depending on the colour of the car. I've looked at every picture in the Forum Gallery of C4's with ZR1 rims and it seems that the polished sometimes looks better on the strong dark colurs, (black, dark blue, dark green) whereas the painted seem to look better on the lighter cars, and I would consider mine (steel blue metallic) to be a lighter or softer colour. Hmmm..., maybe I should go painted... Ahhh.... I am horrible with decisions.....

for the price i would go with the shiney one's, but then again i would save a little more and get the 11 inch bad boys for the back.

1991camaro - Yikes, if I ever had any doubt now I know for sure that I don't want black rims. Might work for some people but not for me!!!

Any chance you can do the same thing with the polished and painted ones? Thanks though!!!

88BlackZ-51 - yeah, still considering the 11's as it does look killer from the back end, but i like the ability to rotate, plus I am a bit of a "stock nut" so the 9.5" stock look is a little more to my liking, not to mention suspension and understeer impacts.

I think the black ZR1's would look great for your car. I got the polished wheels from OE, they look better for my car because of the dark color (Black Rose Metallic). But for lighter colors, black looks mean, like a GS! Also, email OE, they might have 'em in black if you choose to go that route. They were a pleasure to do business with, fast shipping. I only paid 500 bucks for all 4 (17x9.5's), and some people might question the quality, but for me they're good enough, no auto-x or racing here. Secondly, I'd go with the polished to offset your car 's color. I think the stock ZR1 wheels would blend in too much with your car's color, IMHO......

Smack, please do explain the suspension and understeer impacts of the 11's in back. I was entertaining the thought of putting them on the rear of my '92 convertible. Maybe I shouldn't? (just going for looks)Thanks!!(I actually have a thread going asking this)

C4Jimmy - see attached link to thread I posted a while back in C4 General. I was contemplating the 9.5's vs. 11 and got some feedback that suggested that non-GS's and ZR1's aren't set up to appropriately handle the 11's and corresponding wider tires (315's) I understand the idea in theory, but not well enough to explain it msyelf. Hope the other thread answers your questions.

As for OE, yeah, I haven't heard anything bad about them, and I also don't do any racing or auto x-'ing, so I'm sure they will work fine for me.

sticking with rear 9.5s then?? Maybe I will, too. Looks cool as hell, though! (I have a 'vert, and even Grand Sport 'verts only came with 9.5's in the rear....Jeez, I dunno, but I'll maybe I'll play it safe and stick with the 9.5's...... :o

yeah, I'm gonna go 9.5's. I mean, really, the 275's are still one damn wide tire. The polished ZR1's look nice on your vert - still trying to decide polished or painted for mine.

One more good point, the 11's are meant to have the Z51 susp pkg along with them, so having 11's w/out the Z51 pkg might upset handling some way. They would look great though, the 11's with some GS fender flares, damn! Oh well, I'll save some $ for other stuff...Can't help ya w/ photoshop, sorry, but thanks for the compliments on my car, appreciate it! Yeah the ZRs did wake the car up a little, appearance wise.

Thanks again 1991camaro - I am now leaning back toward the painted rims.... The polished and chrome look almost seems too flashy (bling bling) given the colour of the car. I don't think I'd be a good candidate for "Pimp my Ride". I think the painted may better suit the overall look of the car. Thanks again.

I've got a 90 steel blue with painted rims. I thought I had the pics here at the office, but they must be at home. If I can get ahold of them at lunch, I'll try to post one so you can see a "live" example.
