Do not like the Greenwood Motorsports kits. However, their GTR kit has nice side panel treatment, the Shinoda kit is also nice except for the rear and beat ever is the Callaway aerobody. The kits I like have a few things in common, they don't look glued on, eliminate the disappearing acts the bottom of the door and rocker do, and cost way too much.

Corvettes are personal expressions by definition - the vast majority of folks don't drive sports cars (even in 1984, a huge model year for the Corvette, less than 1/2 of one percent of vehicles sold in the US were Corvettes). Body kits are just another form of that expression. Do what you like - lots of folks on the forum have purchased the Greenwood kits and can give you more personal plusses and minuses.
i owned an 85 that had a kit and rear spoiler not the greenwood and i loved that car but circumstances made me trade kids come first but i wouldnt put them on my 96 ...
Sorry, but the transition to C4 from C3, left a lot of curves behind. The lady just looked too boxy.
If it weren't for the kits, I would have never looked twice at a stock C4 body. But don't hold it againest us C4 owners. Growing up, the mods on the C3's caught this young boys eye and I knew I would own a vette one day.

[QUOTE=fastzr1]I like them. See pics.
These are actually not too bad. I am very picky about ground effects. Usually I would say no way to them, especially on vettes. I purchased a Mustang w/ them and took them off that same day, but like I said these are not too bad.

Never liked the Greenwood kit. The Callaway Vettes look wicked.
But I still have always belived that form should FOLLOW function!! I still almost want to leave off my canter caps and nut covers! And if you do add these to your car, secure them properly! eventhough wings are for flight, I dont want someones to come off at hwy speed in front of me!

im fond of bodykits, my car had one when i bought it... I wouldn't have spent my own money to put one of my car. only because I am just 19yr old student who couldn't afford more then performance stuff, right now for me, financially,,, buying a body kit wouldn't be right, since i much prefer to go fast, but if i was a rich man, i would choose both....
There are some members on this forum that have ground effects or kitted cars that look incredible-really tough. But they are rare and hard to do. They have to be perfectly installed and finished. Every other element of the car has to compliment the kit perfectly, or they can look like hell IMO. I don't have the artistic skill to know or visualize exactly which wheel/tire combination, wing size, stance set-up, and dozens of other minute details that have to all come together, or get that certain "something" they have to have to be successful. Mostly, I see cars that have been kitted, and nearly all of them just miss that "something".
I hate those damn ugly crappy looking ground effe.................... Oh damn!! I just seen my sig pic!!.............Like I was saying, I love those sexy, sharp looking ground effects on a car.
Damn - I just bought a Shinoda body kit, cause I thought they were way cool. I ordered my 1990 and saw it built on the assembly line, so i saw it born. 15 years later, 5 transmissions, 2 engines, 2 rears, 5 Blose CD radios, and a dumptruck driveshaft through the engine oil pan and passenger floor board, I am ready to update my girls looks. ShAME ON THOSE PURISTS, THAT COUNT RIVETS, CHALK MARKS, AND PURIST ORIGINALITY. Why can't we all get along and do what we want to our cars without getting negative feedback from self appointed car guru's???
