I can only give you feedback on the one I went to, Skip Barber. I took the five day class back in '88, learned in BMW M-3's for the first two days, then went to Formula Fords. I continued to do lapping days and occasional races over the years. My driving skills improved dramaticaly and it is like modding every car you will ever drive because you have improved the performance of the most imprtant element, the driver. I have heard good things about Bob Bondurant's course also. I know one of the schools is using Corvettes now but cannot recall which one. Go for it!
Took the Skip Barber school many years ago. Found it not only very worhtwhile, but also had a blast. You might also want to consider a scca school. They are held at many local tracks. Also if there is conference racing near you, they also run excellent schools. The last two options require you use your own vehivle.
I've been to Skip Barber also. I drove at Mid Ohio. One nice thing is to watch races on TV from that track. I now have an idea of how they feel. It was a great experience. The SCCA school is a good idea, but you have to have your own car. One thing is for sure, you'll improve your driving skills.
There is a performance driving school located right in Manchester (MI) called Track Time. They run out at Michigan International Speedway. I haven't tried them out yet for two reasons: 1) $$$$$ and 2) if I do it once, I'm going to want to do it again and again and again...
I am not sure, but I think that they may have other locations, too.
One of these days I'd real;ly like to try Bondurant.
