Default Hood adjustment question

My '92 has a rattle that has been driving me crazy. It seems that the hood latch does not pull the hood all the way down and there is about 1-2mm of play at the rear where the pins mount. Can you adjust the pins or the bump stops? If so, how is it done? I tried to put a large screwdriver in the pins to tighten them but they are not moving. If you have done this and remember where to adjust please share. Thanks!

If you are trying to lower the hood where it latches at the rear in front of the windshield you have to take a wrench or a pair of channel locks and loosen the large nut first, then you can ajust the actual pin in or out to raise or lower the hood. You will also have to ajust the bump stop (the pin with the rubber top)
as well the same way.
