I talked to the guy over at Lingerfelter and he said that the LT4 intake is good, but not necessary. You might lose around 2 hp by not going to it. Take your LT1 heads and have them ported and have the intake port matched and save the $300+ for the LT4 intake. JMO

For less than the price of LT4 heads and intake, Bob at Precision Porting has my LT1 heads and intake WAY outflowing stock LT4 ones. If funds are scarce, just having them port matched, some pocket work and a good multi-angle valve job w/ undercut valves will wake it up a bunch.
