Saved my wave...
Thinking it was some kind of road rage I turned my head back just as as a brite red C5 blew by me on the right..all smiles and waving big. My wife cracked up at my reaction, as it was too quick to repond to. My hand went up and spastically banged into my closed window. Receiving a wave felt good. Instantly erased my doubts. Thanks to whoever that was.... : Last edited by LangstC4; Jan 22, 2005 at 01:06 PM.

I feel your pain! I own a C-5 and sometimes I am ignored by other C-5 drivers. I have also been ignored by C-3 and C-4 drivers on occassion, as well.
Once, I was at a local car hangout on a Saturday night, talking to a fellow with a highly modified Z06. I was looking at his engine and asking how he did this or did that, and he was completely feeding me a line of bull, and hesitating with his answers. It was pretty apparant that he just drove the thing and didn't do any of the upgrades or maintenance. And he didn't have a clue as to what was actually under his hood or how things worked. I took him to be someone who has the money, but that was about all. Seems to be that way with some of the C-5 crowd.
Their pocket books are bigger so they simply buy what they deem to be "the best" without any knowledge or respect of the Corvette's long history.
Overall, I would say the majority of C-5 owners I have meet are decent folks, who easily mingle with fellow C-3 and C-4 enthusiast, but I will also admit that I have meet a few rotten apples as well.
Being successful in life, and driving America's sports car, doesn't always mean your a decent person. And it shows sometimes.
Just my opinion.
Regardless of what year of Corvette you all drive, come by my town and I will gladly give you a wave!!!
