Default WTB stock 84-87 9.5 inch rim (1)

Just bought a new set of tires for my 85 Z51 and learned that one of the rims is an 8.5 inch, not the correct 9.5 inch. If anyone has a clean 9.5 inch stock 84-87 rim for sale cheap, I'd like to hear from you.

What do you consider cheap?

and do you need a left or a right?

Default 84-87 stock rim

Sorry, I posted on the fly... I'm after the passenger side. As for cheap, I dunno. Doesn't seem to be a huge market for them, so I'd be thinking sub-$50. I can buy 4 rims with decent tires locally (no shipping) for $250. Suppose I could always sell the 3 rims and 4 tires if that's all I can come up with.

Default C4 rim

Thanks, Bernie. Your rim is a bit rough - it would stick out relative to the others.

Still looking for an inexpensive, clean 9.5 x 16 passenger side C4 rim from 84-87. I have a very clean 8.5 x 16 passenger side I can trade. Anyone?

Default 84-87 9.5 in rim

dave, the scratches in the clearcoat is why i priced the rim as reasonable as i did. sand off the clearcoat and reclearcoat it and it is a 9 on a 10 scale. bernie morris

Default rim

Bernie,

I'm hoping someone has a clean passenger side rim in the 9.5 inch width. If not, it's good to have a plan B.

Alternatively, I could sell / trade one of my very clean 9.5 inchers and trade / buy another 8.5 inch rim. That'd negate some of the Z-51 upgrade, but I don't drive it that hard.

Anyone have either an 8.5 or 9.5 passenger side, clean with the black paint inside the turbines (circa 84-86)?

Dave, I will try to remember to get some pics for you tomorrow. I have a left and a right 9.5" wide and they are very nice if I recall correctly.

I've sent both you and davemack pictures of it. I'll give davemack until this evening to respond back, if not then it's up for grabs...

Default rims

Rel3rd,

Sent you a PM. The pics you sent showed a fair amount of lip rash and what looked like some black scuffing or scratches on the silver disk area. The lip rash doesn't bother me too much since my new tires have the rubber strip that seems to somewhat cover the lip are. But, I am wondering if the black marks are due to camera stuff (sometimes flashes, etc. make things appear that aren't there), if they are just superficial and easily rubbed out, or if they are just kind of worn.

My rims aren't perfect and neither is my car, but both are very clean and well above average (my avatar really doesn't do it justice). I'm hoping to find a very clean rim that will match. Maybe yours will?

The pictures represent the wheel very well IMO. That is why I did not re-size them. I wanted whomever buys it to be aware of what they were getting.

As I said before I sent the pics, the rim isn't "show ready", but it is very use-able and easily worth the price of $50 shipped. Sorry if it isn't to your liking.

Good Luck with your search.

Still looking for a CLEAN 16 x 9.5 inch passenger side rim with black painted inserts. I don't need a perfect or show ready rim, just relatively free of curb rash and major finish defects. Some clearcoat imperfections are fine, but need something decent. Anyone?
