Default FS:SRP Pistons #148988 for 396 SBC stroker .030" over (moly/ceramic coated)

I bought these piston for my 396 build 3 years ago and had them fly cut .010" and then had the skirts moly coated as well as oil shed coatings inside and ceramic coating to the tops.Coatings done by Calico coatings. These pistons are designed for a 3.875" crank,5.85" rods, and a 9.00" deck height block for "0" deck fit.The fly cut was done so I could run a 5.875" Lunati rod with a 3.875 crank using a 9.015" deck height block for a "0" deck fit.Pistons were installed with crank and rods in the shortblock. Following assembly,I came across what looked like a hair line stress crack in the front water jacket area of the block while installing the waterpump. LPT penetrant confirmed it.Block was disassembled and scrapped. Bought another machined block with plans to swap internals but it was at 9.00" deck height. Didn't want to reflycut and coat pistons again so I ordered another new custom coated set and shelved these for a possible future build. These pistons would make someone a nice set if your building a 396 using 5.85" rods at 9.00" deck height or more and are interested in this type of coating system.
Factory specs:#148988 SRP shelf piston
4032 silicon forged aluminum
1.213" compression height, 1.203" CH after flycut.
-14cc dish, measured -13.5cc after flycut
417 gram weight
1/16,1/16,3/16" ring set
See SRP website for further info.
I have 840 dollars invested in these pistons with coatings. Asking 350 or OBO shipped in the USA. Money order required.Pics available.
