Isn't the LT4 gauge the only one that goes to 8k?

90 will not work in a 92, different design.

okay

90-95 that had the 8K was for the LT5
96 was LT4

90-91 yellow/orange lettering, different LCD then later cars
92-93 yellow/orange lettering
94-95 (and 96) white lettering

92-96 are interchangeable

All of them will physically interchange
Just repin a couple of lights, or relabel from your 6k cluster.

I've got a 93 cluster in one 90, and a 96 cluster in the other 90, both 8k tachs

you need to swap the LCD too.. 90-91 LCD WILL NOT work on 92-96 and vice versa

I thought I'd already mentioned the LCD thing, probably in one of my other responses.
You only have to swap the LCD crystal, the circuit is etched differently on the 93 up dashes.
If you don't swap the crystals the 90-92 in a 93-96 will look bad and vice versa.

Hi,

Regarding the cluster, does the oil temp gauge read 260 degrees, or 280 degrees?

Kurt.

Just post the 8 digit part # from the label on the cluster back-side. That will answer all of the questions asked.
