Default FS/ Tech 1A

This is a great tool if you own a '96 Corvette. I believe it will work on OBDI car too it'll just need a different interface module. I really hate parting with it but I need the coin right now. This will scan all the computers, the PCM, CCM, ABS and FX3. It will not data log though. It has a Freeze Frame function for when a code is thrown. Reads codes, fuel trims,IAC voltage,TPS voltage, 02 voltage,MAP,MAF, etc, etc, etc.Complete instructions and case included. The ALDL cable is 12' long. Also included are some extra cartridges for other vehicles. These might can be sold on the bay. They are listed below.

Isuzu/Delco 3-pin adapter
GM 12/14 PIN DLC adapter P/N 02001384
GM 16/12 PIN NON-OBD II DLC adapter P/N 3000053
T-100 Bosch ABS/4WAL adapter P/N 94755
GM PIN E adapter P/N TAO2149
FORD 81-90 ECA P/N TKO2570
FORD 7/14 PIN DLC adapter P/N 02002042
RWAL/4WAL P/N TAO2659A

Asking 750.00 shipping included, Paypal or MO.

Very nice tool Mike, I see you have the Mass Storage Cartridge installed, those can be hard to come by. Assuming the MSC has the latest software your Tech 1A should work on any C4 with that cartridge only. For OBDI applications (before 96) it is simply used without the VIM (vehicle interface module).
As you say it can access all Vette computers unlike the aftermarket tools which can only read the PCM. Good luck with your sale, I know it is a heartbreaker to part with that beauty.

Just wondering, you say it is a Tech 1A, but in all your pics it says Tech 1?

Wish I had the money, would love to have it!

If I'm not mistaken the Tech1 was for OBD I cars. The series A is for OBDI & OBDII cars.

I was just wondering because there is one that says "Tech 1A" on the front of the handheld unit, those seem to be even harder to find than the regular "Tech 1". I wonder if yours the same thing?

I can't answer that, sorry. Maybe Jim (ToptechX6) will chime in. He's the resident Tech 1 guy.

Look at the left side of the tool, the Tech1A has a phone style port located there, the Tech 1 does not. The port can be used to connect a probe to check voltage similar to a multimeter. The port was also used to connect to a printer or GM's T-15 PC.
The PC was used to download updates to the Mass Storage Cartridge, but has been obsolete for years, no updates have been issued for the MSC since introduction of the Tech2.
The Tech 1 was able to connect to both devices (printer and PC) too, but it requires an RS232C IF cartridge that plugs into the top of the tool.
Since there are no more updates for the cartridges the communication port is useless except for the voltage probe, any DVOM or multimeter has the same function.
