FS : Experimental Intake Manifold #2
..... For Sale ... Another experiment ... This one is an Offenhauser Cross-Ram also converted to EFI ... This intake was intended to use all factory C4 hook-ups , i.e. , Throttle Body , linkage , and Vacuum ports ... with a 58mm TB mounted , this intake produced 496hp @5300 on a 421 that was capable of much higher RPM ... but the Dyno session was aborted due to mechanical issues (bad oil leak from rear main seal) ... the intake was never installed in the car so I have no track performance numbers available ... Comes with 2 new , hard to find lid gaskets ..... $450 shipped to the lower 48 ... fuel rails available for an extra $100

Antother Frankenstien intake by C409 very cool!!
A CFI guy oughta snap this one up thats one of a kind for sure!
Edit that took a ton of work to make, 450 is nothing for the amount of time that took.

I'm super tempted and just about crazy enough to try something that has not been done before. Will this work with my original large cap distributor? Will the 1986 factory fuel rails work and hook up to the factory fuel lines or do I need the rail you are offering to make it work. It also looks like the water neck would be different what is needed there? By the way. This thing looks Killer and is a nice piece of work.

interested in the Experimental Intake Manifold #2. Was looking to do a LT1 conversion for my 1989 Corvette, but this intake looks very unique. Let me know if it's available. Could I run my fuel rails with it?

..... Yes , its still available ... No , your OEM Fuel rails will not fit ... there are numerous fuel rail set-ups available though , including a pair of Edelbrock rails that I have ... the small block Chevy has a distinctive intake runner/port layout and just about any universal SBC rail kit will work ... you will likely need to drill mounting holes through the rails to fit this manifold's brackets but that can be done with a handheld drill .....

How was the torque curve when you ran it?
