Radio for 1987 Corvette
I need a radio for a 1987 Corvette. AM/FM Cassette with ***** and mounting hardware. I'd take the wiring harness too if you have it. Mine was replaced with an aftermarket radio and I don't know if the wiring was cobbled up or not. Mounting hardware to bring the car back to factory specs. By wiring harness, I mean the electrical plugs to the radio and wiring to the first connection.
I need it to work not just fill a hole in the dash.
Thanks

You need to research what was in your 87 if it was a Bose system each speaker had a amp and if it was then everything was replaced including the speakers to be compatible with a non Bose radio system. look at the SERVICE PARTS ID sticker on the underside of your console lid for the following - UQ4, Delco Bose four speaker system and
UU8, Delco Bose AM/FM stereo radio with cassette. You will need a set of factory service manuals or research on the internet.
Here is the wiring for the 87 Bose Radio -
Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Brown
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Pink
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 4″ x 6″ Speakers
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: Doors
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green
Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 6″ x 9″ Speakers
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: Rear Floor Panels
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue

My car has the Boze speakers. Boze is on the speaker grills.

If your replacement radio was Bose compatible or was a standard radio with a converter, standard to Bose, then would work with the Bose speaker/amps. Mine also said Bose, but the speakers were replaced with standard speakers and the amps bypassed. Good luck
