..... 3.42 ... it didn't/doesn't matter to me as I was going to put a 4.30 with a spool in it ... besides , gear sets for 12 bolts are rather inexpensive .....

Any history of the car it was in? Miles? Quarter mile times? I'm assuming it was raced, most people don't do this conversion for the gas mileage ��

..... I've got nothing on the history ... 3.42 isn't much of a drag race gear ... road race , maybe ... these conversions are rarely done on daily drivers either so mileage concerns would be a stretch .....

..... There are a lot of upgrades to this set-up over the basic 12 Bolt conversion ... Strange aluminum calipers w/slotted rotors , SS brake hoses , 5/8" wheel studs , and the tires and wheels (these would cost around $1000 new) .....

Please paint me a verbal picture 0f how the 700R4 mounts with this assembly. Also, would you know what is in the pumpkin- spool, Detroit locker, posi ?

The white bar in the pics bolts to the outer frame rails at the sides and to the floor panels ... the trans mount is pictured ... you will need to procure a tail housing from an F-body or truck that has mount provisions for a 700R4 ... in my case , I have a TH400 transmission that comes with the needed trans mount pad ... 3.42 gear ratio by a tooth count ... Eaton Clutch type Posi unit .....

I'm still interested. I'm just south of Disney. My problem is, I have to sell the D44 assembly in my toy rather then have it sit in my garage along side the old B&B exhaust system. This has to do with the "Happy Wife / Happy Life" problem many of us face.
