Re: FS: NEW 396 LT4 COMPLETE (MrNuke)
No dynosheet.
The bottom end was built by RaceNet, but we took it all apart to verify everything and put it back together. Heard too many stories of other shops not putting in what you paid for.
Nobody offers a warranty on a race engine.

I dont have the time anymore for racing due to a new business venture. I have sold both my race cars, truck, trailer. This is the last engine I have left.

Thanks for the response. Did RaceNet do all the machine work as well? I would feel a lot better if you dyno'd it prior to laying out that kind of scratch. Just so you know, I'm in the Orlando area and am interested.

Re: FS: NEW 396 LT4 COMPLETE (luvmy92)
RaceNet did all the machine work on the bottom end. GTP did all the head and intake work.
I am not interested in dynoing the motor. I put over 14k into this setup, if someone doesnt think it is worth 8k, then its not a real big deal to me. Im taking a loss as it is.
I have let people come look at it and see the parts and even tore it down for a potential person, but Im not going to go through the time of dynoing it.
You cant call up any engine builder and expect them to dyno an engine unless you pay for it.

I'm fully aware of what you have in your motor, as I have the same amount tied up in mine (including labor) but still have the stock bottom end.
While the price is outstanding, I'm the type of buyer that likes to know what they are getting for their money. I'm sure you'll have no problem selling it however. It sure is beautiful...

Mike,
I appreciate the feedback. I wish I had the time to dyno the motor and post some real numbers, but if I had time for that I probably would not need to sell it as well. Thanks again.

Re: FS: NEW 396 LT4 COMPLETE (1QWKZ28)
How much HP was it projected to make and what was the estimated MPH in the 1/4 mile. Will it hold up to nitrous ??
Thanks.

did you have racenet add the lunati crank as extra or especially for you? their strokers don't usually come with lunati cranks...

Re: FS: NEW 396 LT4 COMPLETE (larryfs)
Definitely need someone who knows how to program a stock PCM. Otherwise you better run a FAST or DFI. Either will work, but a stock PCM will never be able to produce as much as a DFI.
