I am thinking about getting the zr1's. and i can get them in 9.5 all around or 11" in rear. I dont wanna get new tires. so can i use a 275/40 eagle f1 on a 11" wheel? will it look funny if it does fit?

You "could" do it, but would advise against it. The lip of the rim would stick out past the tire making it really easy to scratch the wheels on something.

actually believe it or not, 1 tire will fit, and doesnt look too bad!!

Nitto Drag Slick, I think it's because the 315 is actually more like a 295.

i have a set of 275, and i swear my kumho's look wider.

i have seen the 315 on a 11 inch rim, i should of did that...

So many on the forum I've seen in posts before will advise someone that it's FINE to install 275 or 285/40s on 8.5 front wheels. I would never do that. But you're much better off with a little too wide of a wheel than not wide enough. Go ahead and wear the tires out and then get the proper size.

I've been looking for ZR-1 wheels for my 93 vette. Its not a ZR-1 ,the fronts are 8.5 and the backs 9.5. is this the size I should be shopping for ?

There is no issue running larger rims - as long as you buy the correct offset you can run 9.5" wheels front and back or ... you can run 9.5" in the front and 11" in the back if you'd like to run a larger rear tire.
