needed to finally get to fixing the column wiggle on my 93.. also my wiper switch broke on one side... was thinking to replace the entire column with another unit. will the 94-9 work ? what are the diifferences? using the 94-96 iS NOT an option... ( i think its fugly ), i have to be able to reuse my 93 wheel.
not sure if its bad or not... so a 92 wont work hmm... but 94 they went with a different wheel and airbag.. and i really dont want to have the white lettering on the signal stalk... maybe a 93 is my best option. perhaps i should just get it rebuilt..
how do i find it? i already tried taking apart the colum once... i got to the pivot pin holes and from there i just gave up. took it to a shop to replace the pins and he busted my signal switch by putting too much weight on it. now both my switch (currently glued) and my colum are both screwed.... and its still pissin me off.. i was kinda hoping to just get another and take a hammer to this one.
is there anyone out there who could rebuild a 93 column? i believe it needs a new housing ( the aluminum piece the pivots go into> suposedly the source of the wiggle )... anyone?? can't i just buy a new one from the dealership??

I’m looking at doing this column change again for many reasons. No longer have the auto trans, got the tilt wiggle, and changed the interior to the 94-96 style, so I need the white signal stalk to match.
I’m going to search the archives, but I remember reading somewhere that my 90 column is shorter or longer than the 94-96 and you might need to use a different steering wheel.
Ill search the archives and see if I can find that article again.
