you can try reaching in there with a bent coat hanger, about 8" long with a hook on one end an a loop (for your finger) on the other. reach in and yank the cable. If that does not work, you have to take the poor car apart, remove the right front wheel, and the inner and outer fender. That should provide you with access to the latch.
