Default 85 Underdash panel--HELP PLEASE

I have an 85 4+3, and I went to install the driverside underdash panel and for some odd reason this panel is not lining up correctly--Now I'm wondering if there is a difference between the auto and standard--whether the pedel cuttout is different, I don't know how to post pics of mine but could someone post a pic of what the panel looks like for the 4+3 that would really help....John

Well - mine is an auto, but here's the "upskirt" pic. Looks to me like it's cut for three pedals - I'll bet it's the same panel regardless....

I have some difficulty lining mine up as well. Mine's an 87 and the panel has to stuff in over a diagnostic plug at the upper end near the console first, in order to work the rest of it in. Hope that helps.

Yes they are different. I didnt know this and I ordered on off ebay for my manual car and got one for an auto. But I bought an auto that didnt have one so I used it any way, but the manual one has a longer slot where the clutch pedal goes.

Yep I just figured that out yesterday--I was wondering if my clutch pedal was loose or something, but it couldn't have been that bad---so heres what I did, I took a rotary saw to it and trimmed a notch where the clutch slides into and I also trimmed abit for the gas pedal to swing by--Just in case I needed to, now the panel slips right into place!!
