hheellpp does this thing come apart
i'm trying to pull the wire harness out of my 90 so i won't have it in the way or hanging loose. does this come apart or is it just for passing through a bulkhead? the heater/ac box is next to it. thanx

thanx for the reply and the info. 91vert had replied to this on another forum telling me the same thing, and by the time i read yours, it was a done deal. but now i'm off and running. thanx all, another little tech question answered to help us all.

surely this is a male/female connector, and it will come apart. It may take some careful prying/wiggling and persuassion, but it will come apart. Also, GM is famous for having interesting connector locks, so look for a "locking mechanism" on this harness connector!!

I took mine apart, as in the black casing from around the wires and I can say that it is not a plug. The wires go straight through. The black thing that looks like a plug is just there to hold the harness in place when it goes through the fire wall.
