Where is the preferred spot for long tubes on an L98?
Is there any affect by lengthening the lead? ie: the resistance giving incorrect values

The lead length isn't the problem. The distance from the source of the heat can be. If the O2 is too far away to heat quickly enough, and stay heated, to keep the ECM in closed loop, a heated O2 will solve the problem.
