Ok guys, just got my car back together(1994 with electronic climate control)and on the ground today. It has been up in the air while I changed the pilot bearing, throw out bearing and universals. Everything worked fine before I started this(about 3 weeks ago-waiting for parts and being super busy made this drag out). I get in today for a quick test ride....no fan. Everything else about the HVAC controls works perfectly. It will switch modes, even engage the A/C clutch when required. Digital readout works fine....
So I decided to check the fuses and all fuses are good. Do a little checking at the fan connection and it's good as well. I take a volt meter and check voltage at the connector. I DO have voltage and it goes up and down according to what the fan speed is set at. How could the fan go bad when the car was sitting there with the battery disconnected?? This makes no sense to me.
Next question is....does the fan motor come out as easy as it looks? Just those few small bolts that are right there on the outside of the fan motor? I guess I will take it out and see if for some reason it's in a bind or something strange. Any suggestions??

any number of reasons... debris could be in there, the motor could be all dirty from moisture... who knows.
They are easy to replace! Remove it and spin it, see if it comes up to speed after that.

If you haven't, check ground; otherwise, rap it with your hand and see if it comes on. If it does, it'll probably work for awhile and then go dead again.
