T25 (I believe) torx bit to remove outer fender bolts. 10mm open end to loosen bottom hidden bolt. 5/16 for battery ends and..... 10mm? for the holddown.

Gears: I do not recall seeing the illustrations, but I have removed the panel many times and it is very easy. Here are the steps:
1. Remove the 5 or 6 Torx screws just behind the front wheel. There are two Torx sizes needed and it is best to turn the front wheel to the left for clearance purposes.
2. There is a 10 mm hex head bolt on the upper right hand corner of the panel that must be removed. You will have to move some door insulation out of the way to see and remove this bolt.
3. Lay on the floor and look at the lower right hand corner of the panel. There is a 10 mm hex head bolt that points upward. It can be found in the crack between the panel and the rocker arm panel. Using a open end wrench, loosen this bolt about 2 turns
4. Pull the panel toward you and it will come off the car
5. Look behind the battery and you will find a hex head bolt that I think is a 1/2 head size. Remove the bolt.
6. Using a 5/16 box wrench or socket, remove the two battery cables. I usually remove the negative cable first.
7. Now the battery can be slid out to the car. Easy job and it took me longer to type this than it would have taken to remove the battery!
8. Please note that the panel is adjustable and be careful to adjust the panel such that the door does not draq when you install the panel.
