Default Stuck Rear Rotor-HELP

I'm trying to replace the rear rotors on my 85 and the rotor on one side is completely stuck to the spindle for some reason!! Anyone have any tips or tricks for gettting them off?? I've tried prying it off, PB Blaster around the studs and center bore, parking brake adjustment and nothing...any ideas??

Just tap all around the rotor and on the face of it using a 3-5lb. mallet or dead blow hammer. A few good wacks and it should loosen right up.

You will see pieces of rust fall out.

Glad it finally came loose. Next time put a piece of wood against the rotor then hit the wood with the mallet so you don't mar the surface.

When you install the new rotor, be sure and completely cover the hub area in a light coating of antiseize compuond, then it will never happen again.

My method of loosening rotors has never failed me.

I loosen each wheel lug nut about one turn, and run the vehicle in the driveway and hit the brakes hard a couple of times -- both forward and backward. Without the clamping pressure of the wheel lug nuts, the rotor breaks loose from the hub.
When I jack the car up and take the wheel off, I can take the rotor off by hand.
I don't like beating the rotor, and ultimately the bearing, with a hammer.
