My brother-in-law has a "93" 40th anniversary and the alarm will go off for no reason (factory alarm) doors are locked. Now I have heard that the door latches could be out of alignment is this true or is it something else I shoud be looking at for him. Thank You and any help would be greatfull.
Could be something as simple as bad door switches or a hatch switch.
My guess is usually the hatch since most people tend to shutthem pretty hard. I always lower it all the way and then give a gentle push till it latches. I've seen people slam them shut like the trunk of an old Cadillac. That can break the switch internally as mine did three times.
